VIP! - Very Important Podcast
This podcast is way more than your average true crime podcast. While, I appreciate the investigative journalism that goes into many true crime podcasts, this podcast adds a deeper layer. I love hearing the insigihts of John, a criminal psychologist, along with Lauren's probing questions as an investigative journalist into this case (season 1). It's such a refreshing dynamic and a great new take on the true crime genre. The added layer really brings a new look at true crime and doesn't just ask what happened, but why and how we can recognize warning signs to prevent it from happening again. The podcast has the perfect mix of speculation/theory backed up with research and fact. My husband and I listened to some episodes together and we had to keep pausing it to reflect and discuss what we just heard. It has triggered some very deep conversations with not just each other but others we know. I am really looking forward to more episodes and hopefully more seasons!Read full review »

These podcasts are extremely well done. It is like I’m auditing a psychology class at the University and totally loving it. This case has so many twists and turns. To get glimpses into the psychology behind it all is very intriguing. Listing to this is time well spent.

I love hearing about these cases but then I also get SO much knowledge about humans in general and it is helping me navigate my own relationships. This is brilliant! I don’t think I can go back to those podcasts that just report the crime. I...Read full review »
