Great stories. Terrible voice acting
I really wanted to like this podcast but I could barely make it through the Amelia Earhart episode. The narration is good (even though it sounds like they are reading from a script) but the voice acting UGHHHH. Excluding the Kurt Cobain episode apparently every female figure in history is actually an 85 year old woman. On the Earhart episode, for example, the actor used an "old lady" voice and was obviously not familiar with pilot lingo and pace of radio speak. It made me cringe just to listen to the attempt. I get that you are trying to recreate "radio drama" as presented in its hey day but the fake accents and voices are so distracting that I can't even continue to listen. JUST SPEAK WITH A NORMAL VOICE PLEASE. I got 30 seconds into Harry Houdini's episode when the old lady voice popped in again. I just couldn't continue. Good luck with your show. You have the right idea here. The script is great. Change the fake voices and I'll try again.Read full review »

A nice break from the crazy politics, well acted and interesting.

The dialogue is corny - written and executed. So cornball that the podcast is somehow pleasant and uncomfortable to listen to.
