“I'm enjoying the detail on this podcast. I have a background in German Literature so I'm familiar with some of the names and concepts, but since this author went to school in Germany he can provide the context to names and stories that every German knows but that foreigners don't. Appreciate his efforts to outline how the various groups viewed themselves (as Franks, Saxons, Germans, Romans, etc.). Sometimes long winded with digressions, I listen to it on Saturdays while doing yard work and it is growing on me.”Read full review »
