It’s like someone plonked a German chap down in the UK, whereupon he watched a lot of Monty Python, got a sense of humor, and started thinking about life, the universe, and the history of the Germans. A few examples: “after a spot of gentle plundering and other ways of spreading the Pax Romana...” or “The Romans refused to integrate the German warriors. Must be something about the lack of sense of humor” or “The problem was that in the ninth century you could not just identify as sea monster and then become king” It’s the perfect antidote to 2021 — give it a try; you’ll be informed and entertained
