“I have been annoying my college-age children by insisting they listen to portions of this podcast because I love it so much. Even hard-to-impress 21 yr old was chuckling in first few minutes of first prologue episode. As others have noted in their reviews, the pace, humor and lucid summaries of complex situations really helps the listener keep up—even if medieval German history is entirely new territory. Also, I find it oddly comforting to hear about the bazillion violent episodes in these early episodes. It reminds me that things could certainly be worse for a female commoner like me. :-)”
