Not historical, story telling by an author with a narrative based on opinion
Just like a true historian, the author has chosen to take the view that history is written by the victor, which must be wrong. Effectively 200 episodes on how great the Germans are, I hope kids are not being shown this, as he proudly states, as we do not need more ignorant people on this world. He neglects the fact it was the British blockade which forced Germany, that apparent country full of powerful, brilliant and brave soldiers, to break its defensive strategy and ultimately lose the war. When it comes to Falkenhayn the author takes the only view that can explain his terrible mistakes at Verdun and tries to make it rational, not that Germans can make mistakes too. What he does mention is it was the British who broke the Christmas truce and killed Germans (utter rubbish) and likes to mention that the British were breaking rules with the blockade. When it comes to the Germans creating chemical warfare, shelling and bombing civilians in the UK, killing civilians in Belgium and killing on the seas with U-boats, the author acts like it was reasonable. Weasley, your story telling is just offensive to anyone from the Entente countries and I was pushed to write this in defence of my brave ancestors who fought and died in this war, 1 star from me. Thanks for reading.
