Former Prussia Now Poland
I am an American living in the former East Prussia and I have really enjoyed listening to the Eastern Front series. I drove to Tannenberg only 30km from my home to see what might remain and found 1 or 2 original buildings and the carved stone lion that stood at Hindenburgs grave in front of the town hall. Hindenburg and his wife were buried there in an elaborate monument that the Nazis destroyed. The only piece that remained was the lion. Anyway I do really love listening to then trying to find the locations in their Polish names. WW1 and WW2 sites are only popular or visited if the Poles were involved. There isnt much love for the 2 former occupiers

More reviews of History Of The Great War
Having never formally studied the Great War but picked up a thousand snippets, I really appreciate the temporal structure and geographical coverage of the podcasts. Not just trecnhes on the western front and Gallipoli. The stories of the other sectors are particularly valuable.

Well produced, researched, and informative. Makes a complicated time understandable. Also a very good voice for podcasts.
