“In school we learned a lot about the dutch history with an focus on the golden age, and what comes after. Loved the connection to belgium and france.
Still missing a lot of northern history about Utrecht becoming a city. Frisian warlords like Grote Pier And the riches of the hanze cities, and the struggles between them.
