“This podcast is really great if you want to learn more about the Dutch (and Belgium, French and a bit German) history! As a history fan coming from the Netherlands, I thought that I knew most of its history (at least roughly). But Joe and Julian are telling so much more stories and details, so I can’t wait untill we hit the 80-year war and the Golden Age! I have to say that this podcast had to grew a bit on me… Before I start listening this podcast, I listened to Dan Carling’s Hardcore History (also great!!). That’s a whole different style of story telling. But after an episode of 5 I began to like and appreciate the style of Joe; a lot of details and great research work, humor, word jokes and some personal comments. To conclude; a must-listen podcast for everyone who want to learn about Dutch history from a relaxed Australian viewing point..! Keep up the good work Joe and Julian!”

“I really like this podcast - it’s smart and informative, and also genuinely funny. It taught me a lot about Dutch history! It’s also been fun watching you guys improve - pre Charlemagne was good, post Charlemagne is about 5x better.”
