Not a preaching podcast
There are other podcasts about Christian history that seem to go off on a tangent and the next thing you know, the podcaster is preaching the Sermon On The Mount in surround sound with the podcaster's interpretation of how he thinks the sermon should have gone down. Not here. If you are looking for a preaching podcast, you have come to the wrong podcast. This is an excellent history of the early Christian Church in general and the Catholic Church in detail, complete with explanations of why things happened the way they did. You will find details of who was where when certain events happened. Thrown in are some historical good intentions that ended up causing all kinds of problems right away or farther down the road. It seems there is never a dull moment when it comes to Christians. As for the podcaster's personal beliefs, he manages to keep them out of the podcast.Read full review »
