Hmong Sheboygan Radio started broadcasting on September 23, 1983 at North High School Radio WSHS 91.7 FM. The original program aired traditional Hmong songs, music, and provided vital information for the adjustment of Hmong refugees from Laos since the fall of the Vietnam war.
Since the program went off the air in 2019, the Hmong Mutual Assistance of Sheboygan decided to bring it back for a short period, leading up to the Sheboygan Hmong New Year celebration at North High School on November 29th & 30th.
