His stories takes me back and forth in time in the us, and suddenly the life of a face of rock a world away from me is alive. I lose my negative chaos in Scott’s slanted voice. I listen, and sometimes meet a person, in this huge expanse, who suddenly is as near as my own armpit. As smelly and familiar. The grizzlies as well. This pod is a piece of home.”
