Tail that wags the dog
to frame mysely (you'd get that if you listen) I was born and raised pretty much southern baptist. after a conservative bible college I grew into more and more theology. A few things I know are true. One, we are not saved by our theology, and two there must be an objective truth. Whether or not I currently hold my subjective as objective is debateable. My problem with the podcast is they talk a good game and many of their ideas, and ideals are good, but they don't actually back what they think up with something substantial. It's like they hook onto a topic that is currently CCPC (christian contemporary politically correct), but I find no substance to support what they say. In the end there are a lot of good ideas, but so is communism. Unless you have an objective reality to strive towards and point ot it's just more subjectivism.Read full review »

Thank you Home-brewed Christianity for letting me know that having questions is also a part of the faith-journey and a healthy part at that! The subjects can be profound or foamy/bubbly but always entertaining and enlightening!

I love this show. It makes really rich and deep theology very approachable without getting overly sentimental. I wish going to church were more like this.
