A little bit of everything that matters...
I stumbled across Homebrewed Christianity by a fortuitous chance encounter. Tripp called me out of the blue and said "old roommate of mine, you should listen to my new podcast." I decided that I should, because Tripp and Chad are good at getting into trouble. Anyone with a lively and searching faith does... at least insofar as they're like Jesus. Lo and behold, what I found was a series of relevant and poignant interviews with leaders in the church and academy, presenting affirmations and challenges around every corner. Everything from the insurgency of God to the call of the marginalized, from questions about Christ's desire to deconstruct to attempts to describe the content of the Spirit's mysterious movements, this podcast helps thinking Jesus-followers, would-be Jesus followers, and soccer moms ponder anew what the Almighty can do. OK, fine - some soccer moms are thinking Jesus followers and would-be Jesus followers, and that's all the more reason for them to listen. Well done fellas, and bring in some more funk - and liberation theologians. Brew Time!Read full review »
