Interesting but unoriginal
I liked the first episode. It's intriguing and well-done. But, yeah, as someone else already noted, the format and synopsis are annoyingly similar to "The Bright Sessions," which has already been on the charts for a year or so. The whole intro into the recorder about the patient, the therapist/patient scenario, the shadowy government organization doing experiments on soldiers - it's a little too similar to not be suspect. Let's hope the soldiers aren't being given superpowers! Also, listeners who are saying this is the first fictional podcast to not use the journalist format are not listening to the right podcasts! There are so many out there that are narrative and unique but don't star big name actors and are really good. This is such an example of Hollywood trying to take over every little art form and hurting the little indie artists. First movie stars took over TV, then web series, and now podcasts??? I guess it's good for notoriety... just frustrating in a way. But, I liked this one enough to keep listening. I love Catherine Keener pretty much always.Read full review »

A fan of Gimlet since the beginning, I like that this is a little different than the other shows. Can't wait for the next episode.Read full review »
