“I really loved this podcast when I first started listening, even if I disagree with most of their health and wellness opinions. Even as an older woman with grown children, I am regularly challenged to do the hard work of making and keeping a home. What is frustrating to me is that for the many paid sponsors they have, the quality of the show just doesn’t seem to match the level of support. They are (lately) unprepared. Asking patrons pay to watch two friends on a video call and yet not have your act together is off putting. (I listen to several higher quality podcasts and none of them make listeners pay to watch the YouTube version of the podcast, so that’s a bit odd to me) I don’t mind the conversational style of the show, but the constant interruptions and lack of preparation are frustrating, not to mention the way they try to moralize their personal choices. It’s not morally superior to buy expensive food. Part of good homemaking is working within the confines of what your personal budget can sustain. You can prepare wholesome meals for your family using conventionally grown/raised food. I’m afraid I’m reaching the end of my tolerance for this podcast, and that makes me sad, because I could really see the value in it in the earlier episodes. This is the first negative review I’ve ever left for a podcast.”
