I’ve learned a lot about homemaking from this show, however if you don’t pay close attention to what you’re paying close attention to, some noise and a lot of opinion stated as utter fact (sometimes as it relates to theology, life and death, I can go on) creeps in and you can turn it off feeling...Read full review »

The reoccurring message that these two ladies share is this- everything is just for a season. Both ladies have been through a great deal of life and have hope because of their faith and the community of family and friends they have fostered around them. They are not perfect and certainly not...Read full review »

I have nothing inherently negative to say about homemaker chic. I do believe the reason so many take issue with this podcast is given the term “homemaker” is the first word in the podcast title, most would assume this applies to all homemakers on the spectrum. However, Shaye & Angela are...Read full review »

Much needed sanity with two littles at home. I love my babies, but I love feeling like a part of these ladies conversation !!

I genuinely enjoy aspects of this podcast. But the health advice would be criminal if they held a license. Fluoride is toxic according to them—but they fail to mention that clove oil is a scheduled carcinogen. The dose makes the poison. They are complete chemophobes who lack the education to know...Read full review »

Having small children right now I don’t get out much, listening to Shane and Angela is like inviting a couple friends into my kitchen when I have to do the dishes. It’s perfect for this season of my life. Love to you both <3

These women are so real, so relatable, so honest and kind. Modesty, moderation, health and positive perspective... they are the role model I've been looking for. So grateful for their work! Thank you!Read full review »

Really really enjoy the show. Haven’t missed an episode and have honestly learned so much about homemaking and gardening and cooking. As a listener I don’t expect to have perfect hosts at all, and they can do whatever they want - their show! But a dash of humility and apologies (when needed) and...Read full review »

I have been listening to this podcast since summer of 2023…I originally found Homemaker chic in though Lisa Boone’s podcast. I am a podcast girl all the way! That being said, I usually go in phases of really liking a podcast and then forgetting about it after a while. This is the only podcast...Read full review »

The number of advertisements, the lack of topic, Shaye dominating the conversation always. Blegh. I used to love this podcast but I haven’t listened to a new one in a while bc of these things.

I enjoy your show very much. I sympathize with your clothing frustrations Shaye. Perhaps try cashmere sweaters, not itchy but are warm
Evelyn Dawn via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 10/31/23
Oh my goodness! The garbage spewing out of Shaye’s mouth makes this show so cringe. Theology, church history, nuns living in a convent—she’s got it all figured out & confidently states “that’s not what Jesus wants us to do”. 🙄
WAPFmom via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/12/23
Shaye literally thinks she’s holier than a Catholic sainted nun. I’m not even Catholic and this aspect of the show irritates me so much! But she looooves Italian culture 🙄Except when it’s, “ew, Catholicism.” Poser. Please let Angela talk more… I can’t hear the words “pocket” or “posture” or...Read full review »

I have listened to every episode, and I love both Shaye and Angela. I do feel like the last couple of seasons have been too loosely structured, however. Just two friends chatting about life. They deal with the same things I do 😄. On top of dishes and laundry and then 24 hrs later snowed under with it all 😅. Thank you! You make dishes and laundry folding quick and painless. Plus I’m inspired to keep managing my home better and better.

If I have to hear Shay say “heart posture” one more time I might throw up. I used to love this show but Shay’s tone is so off putting.

Thank you Shay and Angela for being right there beside me in the trenches. I live over 1000 miles away from my family so I heavily rely on your support as I go about motherhood and home making. Thank you for the laughter, tears, inspiration, and simple realism.

Hey ladies! I so SO appreciate your podcast, I can’t even put it into words. I still want to love it, but compared to the older seasons, it’s just not what it used to be. I love this podcast! I often wait to listen until I’m doing a house project that isn’t my favorite—Shaye and Angela remind me why the mundane matters and inspire my homemaking endeavors. Thanks, ladies! Keep it up!

I used to really enjoy this podcast, and get so much inspiration and encouragement from it. Sadly, it’s really gone off the rails. Shaye and Angela spend so much of their time judging and complaining and really seem to be phoning it in with even being able to stay on topic.

Like others have mentioned, this show used to be amazing! This is my favorite show of all. It’s funny but always has good ideas and conversation I do get really tired of the wine segments. If they have a season sponsor, who is not dry farm wines, why must we always hear 15 minutes of dry farm winds information every episode
