“I listen to Homesteady while I'm in my garden. If my husband's in the row next to me, he gets hooked on the episode and listens too. If we get separated, he'll say, "tell me what happens with the dog" or "did Accountant Mike give it a thumbs up?" Here's why Homesteady is my fave: most importantly-we're beginning homesteaders and farmers, as in for real and full time. What Aust talks about is exactly relevant to our lives. We're growing organic vegetables for selling, we're raising eggs and hogs, for pig-shares, we butcher our own chickens... Secondly, I'm also totally entertained while I'm learning. I've got tears in my eyes listening to the shared fiction of a girl and her dad hunting together, I'm laughing at the quips between Mike and Aust, I've got tears rolling down my face while the family is burying Boothe.
