Homesteady Pilot
As any competent TV watcher will tell you, one should never judge a series by its pilot; I listened to episode 1 of Homesteady armed with this lesson. And sure, there are ways I can see the program growing over time -- kinks to be worked out, aspects to be enhanced or trimmed --- but as a pilot, Homesteady's container garden episode was surprisingly enjoyable! Austin is passionate about what he has grown to love and as a relative newcomer to the world of sustainable living he makes the topic accessible to even the staunchest of urbanites. I didn't walk away from the podcast feeling like I should make a career change and start a tomato farm -- but, it did ignite the itch to get my basil into a bigger container so that it stops dying and perhaps finally get my window herb garden growing. I look forward to Homesteady taking on the bigger, more intriguing aspects of rural life -- and I hope it continues to feel just as accessible.Read full review »

Heartfelt, well produced and educational. The conversations are natural and the interviews are always entertaining. The sound quality is very good and the way it's edited makes you feel like you are in the kitchen hanging out with the speaker. Love when Kendra is on!!Read full review »
