“As someone who has recently dove into home automation, I scoured the Internet looking for podcasts, and unfortunately found few, but hometech.fm came up quite a bit. I've listened to 15 or so, and the hosts really seem to know their stuff, however they seem to focus on what they install, which is of course upscale residential systems. That's perfectly valid, but at least in my opinion, home automation "hobbyists" like myself are looking for info on lower end consumer level systems like Vera, smart things or Wink, and aren't as interested in wether or not Crestron is going to stay in the residential market, or how great Savant is. For example, the DIY Roundup episode went a full 30 minutes before they started talking about DIY systems. I'd love to be able to afford a professional system, but I think the people that can don't want to listen to podcasts about it. Again, this isn't a knock on the hosts, it's just my take on it. They seem like great guys that really know high end home automation.”Read full review »

We...”Read full review »
