“Three things:
1. Matt is not fronting at all and is the only person so far who’s been worth listening to (sadly, as he’s not necessarily the most interesting person).
2. Dave is the dominant voice in the podcast, which was ok at first, but I have yet to understand who he really is. What does he have to add to the conversation about what being queer is? He seems mostly superficial in his on air personality.
3. The guests are a real mixed bag in quality. Certain guests (Brian Safi and Cameron Esposito come to mind) are really fascinating and intelligent people. Listening to them can actually be educational. Other guests (Guy Branum and Eliot Glazer, for example) seemed so self-involved and lacking in awareness that it was almost painful to listen to them. Finding guests with an intelligent and independent voice could do this show good.
Throw in the fact that the show overall is very out of touch with queer folks’ lives outside of LA amounts to this: show needs improvement.”
