“I was never a big podcast listener, until one day I decided to put an episode of House of Cinema on while driving because I got tired of listening to road-trip music. Well dear reader, I was hooked. I immediately listened to all of the recent episodes, subscribed to the patreon (you should too), and then crushed all of the available episodes there. Joe approaches film reviews from such an easily accessible angle, and doesn't shame people for movies they do or don't enjoy like some film bros might (not even Tusk). Sydney presents such interesting contrasts to Joe's thoughts sometimes, and it creates fantastic and fun discussions without it being an argument or trying to best the other person. And Claira has some of the funniest quotes in the whole show, and then turns around and has some of the most well strung together and eloquent thoughts that leaves Joe saying "I have no notes". They are literally three best friends, and they make the listener feel like one of their besties too.
