“Love listening to this podcast. Personally I think The Jungle by Upton Sinclair written in the early 1900’s during the Industrial Revolution boom. It was controversial at the time and he received death threats and was ostracized by many for writing it. It’s fictional however largely based on what was going on at the time. When I read it I was surprised to learn that becoming an immigrant only required jumping into a pickup truck and agreeing to vote for them in the upcoming election 😊…how things have changed.”
