Out of control
Listen, I tried and I have sympathy for Danny. I do. But the construction worker scene of pushing stupid nonsense to a ridiculous aggressive limit. Over a wrapper? Get a grip on real life. And also so condescending of your mom? And then here we are. Of course “Karen” is upset because who In her circle was going to hear this until it was featured in the little hometown jewish newspaper that would reach all her personal friends directly? Would you feel happy if she found the publication most likely to reach all your friends and colleagues and then gave a podcast about the most painful and trashy parts of your life? You said “I want to give all my anger and rage the spotlight” before you are willing to heal relationships with those who have supported you until now? And then justify that as if it’s your right to do all this? You are choosing to spotlight this ugliness and act badly yourself in public when most people try to go to therapy. It actually isn’t the world’s job to set aside all their feelings yo give you a giant space to wallow. Many many many many other people experienced homes like yours and far far worse. And they don’t decide to milk it all for their professional life and then act like anyone who doesn’t agree is horrible and will “die alone”?? I hope you stop and get therapy and work on relationships first. And with in yourself - all these worries that your very kind friend Darren softens and enables, they’re real. It’s not okay to lose your shot at construction workers over a wrapper? To tell an older relative who is in pain and has been supportive that they’ll die alone. Like your dad, you don’t know when to stop and you’re using this podcast to justify horrible behavior as some sort of public actor therapy. Not cool and not great for you as a person.
