Started out great but seems to have dropped off the face of the earth

This podcast opened with such an awesome bang. And then…..what is taking so long? Have you decided to abandon the podcast?

I’ve been listening to podcasts for over a decade and never had a podcast just disappear completely. There’s no update even saying, “we changed our minds or it’s too triggering or we sold the rights to a studio”…..nothing. I know the audience isn’t owed anything but it’s strange and...Read full review »

Thank you for sharing your story. I can relate, my mother had Narcissistic Borderline Personality Disorder. I grew up in a very chaotic, stressful environment where the temperature in the room could change on dime. It can be difficult to articulate just how crazy it is to live with a parent like...Read full review »

The podcast has legs but seems to be going nowhere for the last half year.

Hope you guys are OK. We know telling a tale such as this gets stressful and hectic but hang in there! You have a lot of supporters hoping to hear more of your genuinely kind and thoughtful storytelling. And we hope it’s good for you to tell it. Healing, even. Most of us need more than a little...Read full review »

First two episodes were great even in between parts. I am intrigued about his dad’s house and wanted to hear more. I am patiently waiting for episode three. Keep up the fascinating work.

???
Can you please give us some sort of update?
sjac2452 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/15/24
The only thing I can think of is that maybe you were threatened with legal action. I don’t know, but I really wanted to hear the rest of the story.

Sudden stop. I’m guessing they sold the rights to make a movie.

Today ( 4/11/24) This show was listed under the “We’re loving” section of Apple podcast recommendations. I decided to check it out. This sounded like it would be a very interesting story. The only problem is that the hosts are a mess. I understand not having experience, but this is just...Read full review »

Had the potential to be great but vanished. Maybe Payne Lindsey can do a showman what happened to these guys?

When is the next episode?

Got us invested in the story and then abandoned the project? Still waiting for “part 2” of the second episode seven months later…
J. Peezy III via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/01/24
It was a great start but the went months without an episode. Don’t waste your time getting into this one because they just stopped recording in the middle of the story.

This podcast has a lot of potential. The impacts of narcissism on individuals, families, broader families and communities are extremely traumatic for those involved and unimaginable to those who have not experienced a narcissistic personality. There is so much to explore here, but they’re just...Read full review »

I can’t it five starts because I cannot stand the background music while people are talking. Completely unnecessary. Everything else is great. Update: actually changed it to 1 due to the monthlong silence of the hosts.

You’re so brave to come forward and tell us your story. I can hear it in your voice that this is therapeutic for you and it sounds like you’re working through it beautifully. I would really love to hear more. Of course if you feel uncomfortable, burdened, or not ready to keep sharing, I’m sure a...Read full review »

I know they said some family members are upset at what is being said, I hope no other family members have tried legal action against you guys. This story needs to be told. 314 for life!

An amazing podcast, following along with someone exploring his childhood, while also helping me feel less alone.

So the trailer promised a lot— juicy details about this odd and damaging man. But the first episodes were full of promises, excuses for not having things together, pleas for Patreon, and sparse descriptions of what this man did and what made this man tick. I kept shouting to get on with it. And...Read full review »

If you listen you will get hooked instantly - Danny's life story is one so crazy that there is no way for any of it to be fiction.... I was raised by an incredibly horrible mother. So much of your perspective resonated with me. And then BAM… nothing. I’d like to hear more. I’d love to hear how you are doing. Hearing you speak about your feelings was so validating to my own complicated emotions.

Started off great then they just disappear on us. Feels like they got approached with ways to monetize their story so they bailed on their audience. Hopefully what made this so compelling isn’t lost in the process.

Hi Danny and Darren, What’s going on?? Just discovered your podcast. Great story telling! And mom’s voice is so sweet. This is a fascinating story that must be very difficult to tell, but it is very frustrating that it ended so abruptly with no explanation. Of course you do not owe us one, you do not owe us anything, but if there is anything you can share I think most if not all of us would read it with compassion.

This thing is very amateurish, over the place, and impossible to follow. So I stopped trying to follow it very early on. Don’t bother.

I was so disappointed to come to the end of the recordings. I do hope you will do more. The story you tell is important and complex but the way you two tell it is just perfect.

Well done for doing this podcast. I’ve just finished episode 1 and it resonates with the experience my kids lived through with their mother. The craziness of Narcissists is difficult to describe without sounding crazy yourself, but you do it with humour, honesty and a tinge of incredulous horror.

Loved the first 2! Keep checking back for the next episode but nothing since Nov. Can we get an update?
Jyllchaz via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/04/24
Why is this even carried in podcast apps? It’s an incomplete series with a potentially intriguing story but much of what’s available here is just filler. And then nothing more. This should be removed from Apple Podcasts.
