Thank you so much for the great podcast on living in Denmark. It has given me a great insight on living in the country. I’m from Ireland and my boyfriends from Denmark - he agrees with a lot of the experiences you’ve had of Denmark and the Danes! Keep up the good work!!

These podcasts are like warm cups of tea by a crackling fireplace. The author has the most soothing voice and tells the most delightful stories. What a wonderfully relaxing way to learn about my ancestral land of Denmark. I believe this is hygge perfected.

This is one of my favorite podcasts. Kay’s outsider view of Denmark helps anyone wanting to better understand and to thrive in Denmark. This show has given me so much love for Denmark. I’ve gone back and listened to every episode and can’t wait till the day I can visit.

I’d love for the episodes to be longer, but the brevity can be nice, too. My husband and I are relocating to Denmark and have loved listening to these. We learned so much and had many surprises!

This podcast is practical as well as funny altho I never considered really living in Denmark. I am almost convinced I should move to Denmark after following this podcast for a while.

I enjoy listening to Kay's brand of humour. It's self deprecating and ironic like Australian humour, no wonder I like it :) I hope for more frequent episodes, I look forward to each one.

Having lived in Denmark for almost 5 years I can totally agree with everything in this podcast. It's fun, it's informative and gives you a good perspective on Danish culture and society that you probably haven't considered. Recommend it for both foreigners and Danes.

Love this. Very accurate. I would have to disagree with those who say it has a negative vibe. I would be more inclined to say it's more of a "oh those Danes, how Danish they are" vibe. Thanks Kaye

These are brief little insights into Danish life and culture. They're often useful, and accurate (from what little I know), but there's also a nasty little edge to the commentary a lot of the time. At some point, a listener complained that Kay sounded like she didn't like Denmark very much, and...Read full review »

I was dating a very nice Dane who now lives in the US, and this podcast helped me to understand his home culture. We have remained friends, perhaps in part due to this podcast. Thanks Kay! It made me want to visit Denmark some day soon. Please make more recordings!

Kay Xander Mellish knows a lot about Denmark. Not only has she lived in the country for around 15 years, but she is also curious and involved, looking at Danish society, politics and traditions with critical, but very positive eyes, always putting things in perspective. After having lived in...Read full review »

Thanks so much for this fun and educational podcast, Kay! I am an American, married to a Dane and raising 2 kids in Switzerland. There is quite a cultural hodge podge in our home! I love getting some insights into my husband's point of view (or more importantly, the POV of his parents!) ...Read full review »

I have been looking for a more peaceful setting in which to raise my son and grow my career. My sister-in-law is a scientist and frequently travels the world for conferences. Recently, she visited Denmark on business and sent me pictures. I instantly fell in love with Denmark’s beautiful,...Read full review »

Having been an ex-pat in Europe for over 10 years (not in Denmark however), I can relate the advice and stories given by Kay in the podcast.
