I love this podcast! Rob features really incredible radio producers doing inspiring work and then talks to them about how and why they do what they do. This used to be the SALT cast which featured student work (and there are still a lot of student pieces on the show) but there are also lots of other people he's included since it changed to How Sound that give it a good mix of interviews of those just starting out and experienced radio producers. He also introduces me to new podcasts and people to follow, which I appreciate. This podcast gets into the mechanics of what makes a story work, which allows me to think about radio in a different way than just listening to the information. It analyzes what about each story is captivating and different techniques to make that happen. It is educational and also makes me want to make radio. I am a big fan of Rob's work and look forward to listening each time it comes out.Read full review »

I listen to HowSound to help me improve my understanding of storytelling and also as a source for finding out about great podcasts/radio. They put in a 5 star effort for both.
