“I love your content. I really do. I can learn about people I didn’t even think to learn about. But you need a professional voice or performance coach. Your affections. Your needless change in pitch. The way you draw out a single syllable twice as long as it needs to be. It doesn’t make the stories less monotonous. It’s a whole new kind of monotony. I can only stand your shows a little bit at a time. I’m sure I would have binged all your shows by now if I could stand to listen to your speech pattern. After a while, all I can hear is your unnatural sing-song, and I’m no longer listening to the story. Please, for the sake of your show, learn how to read out loud. It’s a business investment.”
