I’m so happy you’re back xx

This is an excellent podcast, made worse by lack of a skilled engineer. Moderator can often barely be heard, music and other voices are all over the place. Stories are great, excellent writing and journalism. Fix the constant volume issues and you have a terrific podcast.

I have no idea who this podcaster is or what his background is but he has such a natural instinct for how to put a podcast together, what listeners want and such an empathy that comes out that I’ve loved every episode that I’ve listened to. Headstones 2, about his grandfather is once in a...Read full review »

I just listened to one of your first episodes at a Melbourne protest. Great matter of a fact story telling & interesting to see representations from both sides. Liked the unpretentious & relatable tone.

These topics are so heavy, but they are covered in such a way that the listener is not pounded over the head, but gently drawn in. I mean, as I’m writing this, I’m hearing “blood was pissing out of the back of my head like a hose”, but it was said by an Aussie, so despite the horror, we’re...Read full review »

Found this through planet broadcasting. Sam has a talent for organizing information and telling stories in a compelling way. Not only are the stories engaging, but they are presented in such a way that I feel an emotional connection to each person I meet. The headstone series is phenomenal.

Think This American Life (but Australian), with a dash of 99% Invisible, Conversations (with Richard Fidler), and Radiolab. The Headstone series is a stand-out.

A well produced show with plenty of substance. Congrats to Sam for creating one of the very best shows to come out of Australia in recent memory.

Sam has a real gift at bringing a story together. It is beyond impressive for being basically a one man production. I love getting an insight into Australia life. Keep it up!
