They are trying to do it differently. Give them time.
Yes, they do take a bit too much time away from their guests with stream of consciousness discussions. However, it’s important to understand what they are trying to accomplish. It’s not that they have egos or are trying to build their brand. Sure, to an extent that would be somewhat true for all of the podcasters. But these guys are having the same guests that every other podcast has had on. So they are trying to do it differently by digging deeper into topics and by throwing ideas and questions at these guests that nobody else has yet. It’s important because many times it sets up another (future) session when one of their ideas or perspectives really strikes a cord with the guest. Unfortunately you may have to sit through (or fast forward) the in-between chatter as they chase rabbit trails while the guest sits in silence. Awkward? A bit. But this podcast has something. Give it a chance.
