A delightful meandering through the theatre of dreams
I've been a great fan of Jim Moons Hypnobobs since it began and now with it's new home and feed moving to Geekplanet online I have another opportunity to extoll it's virtues. This podcast is a delight for fans of literary horror and the macabre. But Jim does not limit himself to this realm, often dedicating episodes to film reviews or in-depth analysis of cultural icons such as his excellent on going miniseries The Complete History of The Batman. With a relaxed and amiable delivery, impressive breadth of knowledge and a charm that can not help but win you round, Hypnobobs is that rarest of beasts, a one man podcast that is interesting, enjoyable, informative and utterly compulsive. Do seriously check this wonderful podcast out, even if you are not a fan of horror, for you might just find yourself gently persuaded to reconsider that viewpoint!Read full review »

Endlessly informative, insightful and witty podcasts for anyone who enjoys folklorics, supernatural fiction and/ or pop culture. From the original Saint Nicholas through MR James’s fiction to 1940s radio horror shows, Hypnobobs is a rich repository of the weird.

Hypnogoria is probably the best podcast I listen to on a weekly basis! Mr. Jim Moon does a great job of highlighting the best weird fiction, folklore, horror/SF/fantasy films and television, and comics. Extraornarily superb!

Mr. Jim Moon’s podcast from his Library of Dreams is an Oasis of Originality in podcasting’s Sahara of Same. His meditations on comics, science fiction and classic horror and ghost stories are always interesting. While his multi-episode examinations of topics such as the Natural History of the...Read full review »
