Sadly reinforcing misinformation
Whilst this is a fascinating story, to hear that ‘Conversion Disorder’ and ‘Hysteria’ are still being used by the podcast host to describe what is a complex and highly debilitating illness now recognised as Functional Neurological Disorder is very disappointing. A simple google search for ‘conversion disorder’ would have given the creator up-to-date information. Instead, outdated views and misinformation being shared with millions of listeners reinforces dangerous beliefs that people who suffer from FND are malingering and diminishes the experiences of the thousands of people and their carers who suffer from this neurological condition.

Okay, there is a time and a place to curse but this topic didn’t seem like a good one. I wouldn’t recommend it simply because of that. Do a version and take out the profanity and it would get five stars from me.

This is a great example of group think mentality and how people can subconsciously conform just to fit in or to seek attention. Especially at that age.
