Irresponsible
The narrator acknowledges that the Salem witch trials could have been cause by ergot poisoning, then back tracks and states that it was actually “hysteria”. Furthermore, the narrator doesn’t investigate if it was ergot poisoning that made the school girls in LeRoy ill. Also, the producers don’t look into the possibility that unknown contaminants in the water / soil caused the illness. Just because some contaminants were ruled out doesn’t mean there is a possibility that another environmental factor caused it like mould etc. this story is not a scientific search for truth. A podcast based solely on subjective opinion / suppositions/ bias that posits itself as some truth telling venture. If you want fiction listen to this, but don’t expect to gain any knowledge.

This is a great podcast, thought provoking and at times made me laugh out loud. I’m a big Dan Taberski fan

Explored a difficult topic that has been exploited in many media settings with wry humor and empathy. Very well done.

I have only listened to two episodes so far and I am so invested. It is hard for me to really get into podcasts sometimes and this one just sucked me in. I love how easy this is to follow.
