Well-made but not very self-aware
This is a pretty captivating show. Unfortunately, it is blind to its own subtle misogyny. The “h” word is used during every segment *except* when the segment focuses on men. Then it is noticeably absent. Given how sensitive the host purports to be to the “baggage” of they word, I was hoping for a bit more self-awareness. (The irony.) There’s also only passing mentions of doctors’ minimization of women’s medical concerns as a systemic problem (with deadly consequences). This surely warranted an entire episode as a counterpoint IMO.

Such an interesting and quirky podcast. My first encounter of Dan Taberski. Love him! About to fall down a rabbit hole and listen to all of his work to date.

Explored a difficult topic that has been exploited in many media settings with wry humor and empathy. Very well done.
