“I can understand that persons who like the Holmes stories and are looking for a discussion of them might be surprised with the content of this podcast (which is about the worldwide Sherlockian community and its history). However, for those of us who are actively part of the Sherlockian community (belonging to Sherlockian literary societies, attending conferences and other events, etc.), the podcast is indespensible. It provides an oral history of the Sherlockian community, sometimes recent history, and sometimes going back to the beginnings. Burt and Scott have done a wonderful job with this podcast, and anyone interested in the rich history of the Baker Street Irregulars and other Sherlockian groups will find it fascinating. If you like the Holmes stories and want to join with others of like minds, this is a great place to start, as Scott and Burt often tell you where you can find out about local Sherlockian groups or about subscribing to the Baker Street Journal.
