This is an executive coaching podcast first...
... and a marketing podcast second. Specifically, it's aimed at smalltime entrepreneurs. The discussions are extremely basic: networking is important? Gosh, whodathunk? To illustrate their discussions, the presenters are over-reliant on a limited pool of gyms, carpet cleaners, etc, which they've sold consultancy to. I quickly got frustrated with endless references to the '25k group' - a business owned by presenter Joe Polish where you pay 25 thousand dollars a year to get access to executive training, presentations and seminars. As an aside, if you don't like to hear people bragging about how many famous people they know - stay away from this podcast. If you're looking for marcomms tips and trick, you're better off reading the blogosphere. If you are to any degree familiar with marketing theory, specific concepts or practice and you're looking for discussion and exposure to new marketing ideas, you will be disappointed by this podcast.Read full review »
