I have a question regarding natural exposure via writing. I self study and practice with natives 2-3 times a week. Following your detailed review of Hellotalk I downloaded the app. I've been using it everyday for short bursts of language practice. I seem to find that writing (or texting) regularly in a chat format has greatly helped with my oral fluency. I imagine it's due to the extended time spent thinking in Spanish. Do you think that conversational writing is something that will assist people who don't have 2-3 hours weekly to get on to Skype? Can it help push towards a higher level of fluency?
