“I recently got into the whole world of podcasts and Olly really stood out to me as a very informative yet down to earth person giving really sincere piece of advices. Now I refer to you Olly as I have a question myself: i was listening to your answer to the "should I bother learning other languages?" question, whose answer I 100% agree with. Nonetheless, being a language teacher myself, I sometimes feel my role has been overtaken by technology, although I realize the importance of face-to-face interaction when learning languages.
My question is simple: do you feel like it is still worth investing in a full-university education in languages when there are so many free resources out there or do you think knowing languages is simply not enough for a fulfilling career nowadays? Thanks and cheers from Italy!”Read full review »
