“I’ve been a follower of Olly’s blog for a while now and so was very excited to hear Olly was starting a podcast. The first episodes have not disappointed! I really like Olly’s approach to language learning: he seems like a normal down-to-earth guy and his advice goes along with this. For somebody like me who’s learning their (hopefully) first second language after several failed attempts, his approach is a lot less intimidating than other polyglots bloggers like Benny Lewis (no disrespect, he’s great too!); Olly’s advice just seems to be more applicable to me and how I approach things. The format for the podcast is great because he is answering reader-submitted questions (planning to submit one soon!), so the advice is directly applicable to problems you may be having at this moment. I also appreciate the length of the podcast. I typically listen to podcasts in free spots of time when I’m feeling too lazy to do flashcards or when I'm walking or driving, and 15-30 minutes seems to be the perfect amount of time to fill these spots.
