Compassion
While it’s very sad what happened to that lovely man Rodger, I can’t understand why more compassion wasn’t shown to John at the time. He wasn’t under the influence of any substance. He was a young man out on a push bike doing his job. Yes he made a mistake going the wrong direction down a street. This was a freak accident. I wasn’t there to see the impact. How do we know if there was a predisposition in poor Rodger for an aneurysm or something along those lines. It is beyond tragic what happened to Rodger. I’ve seen families forgive people for intentional acts against people. This was an accident. John never set out to hurt this man. How he handled himself after what happened was not acceptable. For the incident with Rodger however it could happen to any of us, he without sin cast the first stone. Hope John is happy and grateful for the rest of his life and does good things to show people who he truly is.

I have listened to this podcast 4 times now, and each time I get something new from it. It is an incredibly well told account of how someone’s life can spiral out of control based on how they deal with a traumatic event.
