“I was obsessed with all things Star Trek in my high school years. I even indoctrinated my little sister, 8 years my junior, to dress up as Deep Space Nine Officers on Halloween. My long suffering athlete father even suffered two Star Trek conventions with me, his hopelessly geeky son. The Improvised Star Trek, which I found thanks to Hello From the Magical Tavern, reawakened my love of late 90's Star Trek. The podcasts cleverly subverts the utopian, optimistic, occasionally hackneyed, sentiments of TNG and DS9 wholly but lovingly. Moreover, the performers are masters of their various characters. Slipping from one voice to the next and tying their various plot threads with the plumb of experienced performers.
