Finian McGrath showing what a truly decent person he is and pushing back on anti immigrant narratives makes a refreshing change to the rest of the media afraid to challenge racism under the guise of “genuine concerns”.

This podcast always seems to lean towards one side of a story and this episode highlights this extremely. Not one anecdote about how people in New York were acting questionablely on their side of the portal. So easy to blame the Irish and point fingers at our own.

Brilliant episode on Ian Bailey. Lots of stuff I never heard about him before. Hard to get away from the fact that it was a botched investigation.

Pretty bad misstatement of facts on Ashling Murphy case. First episode stating dna under his fingernails when the court heard it was under hers. Wrong hospital quoted. Pretty bad misstatements from the courts correspondent.

Loving the stories covered but the “eh eh eh eh eh eh eh” from the guy on this particular podcast ref DJ Carey meant I couldn’t listen to this one :)? Same thing tonight. The guest covering the Dowdall case - eh eh eh eh eh . Someone must be better able to give us the low down than the chap you...Read full review »

Why the music? Can’t possibly listen to this. There’s nothing new in the first 10 minutes. We’ve heard it all. Thought you’d get to the nuts and bolts of the question.

Could be a tremendous show if you replace Siobhan with a decent presenter especially one who can pronounce words correctly. Subject natter can be worthwhile but two stars for presentation and I’m being kind.

Very good podcast but what’s with the almost random background music which is very odd and doesn’t seem to follow any pattern.

Enjoy the interviews but the sound effects/music are distracting. At many points they play over the person being interviewed. Perhaps making the sounds, which are supposed to enhance the story, in the background… would be best?

Only listened to episode about Harry and Meghan and it was very one sided with some royal correspondent hack. Nothing better then tabloid filler.

As an Irishman abroad, The Indo Daily is an interesting window into Irish life, but it has some issues: - As others note, the research feels rushed and is inaccurate at times - Feels as if it lacks a cohesive voice which is surprising for a quality newspaper

As an Irish woman abroad, it’s really interesting to get a daily taste of life at home, good variety of political and societal news and views. However, the research can be inaccurate at times. Some obvious mistakes to do with UK, covid there, royalty etc, things I’m well informed about. Makes me...Read full review »
