One of the best podcasts!
This is an amazing podcast. It gives you lots of information about the Khmer Rouge regime and especially about the events that led to it in former periods. Lachlan Peters explains it all in a very accessible but never simplifying way and you keep thinking about the episodes long time afterwards. It’s highly recommendable for students of history or especially southeast Asian history but actually it’s interesting for anybody who wants to know more about Cambodia, communism, violence and the question of genocide. Also, Lachlan Peters has a very pleasant voice so it’s really a joy listening to him. I’m so much looking forwards to the next episodes!

Great overview of the antecedents to the horrors of the Khmer Rouge. Very helpful context prior to my first visit to Cambodia.

The amount of research and effort put into the show is self-evident. It hit the ground running and has only gotten better - can't wait for more!Read full review »
