I really love listening to this podcast. A marriage should be enjoyed particularly resonated with me. Thank you for the work you do Wole and for creating a safe space for people to tell their stories.

The beauty of this podcast is that the stories are so different and intriguing and even the ones that you can’t relate with you get to hear what people have been through and pick some lessons. Oh did I say I love???

Love the simplicity of how stories are told. You get sucked in right away. Love that the hosts allow the storytellers to dominate the episodes but also give the needed amount of commentary. Currently a fan of this. Please we need more stories!

I love that the stories are relatable and true. The first episode I listened to made me write on stuff in my life I had set aside in my life. I love how African stories are being told by Africans. It’s also interesting how they do not interfere with the stories. It’s a breath of fresh air and...Read full review »

A lot of the stories are great, especially the first one and the one with her dad and his struggles. Hits close to home and it’s encouraging

Some of these stories are so heart wrenching but I love how the hosts allow the guests to tell their stories. Also being Nigerian and hearing people who sound like me makes it all so much more relatable.

It seems strange to say that I enjoyed Jane’s episode. Her story is harrowing & im so sorry that she had to go through that. However, I am so glad that she managed to get out of it & ultimately choose herself. Sending her all the love & goodness.

This didn’t end the way I wanted it to. And it even solidifies my hate for movies because to be honest, the hero/villain narrative of the former winning and the latter losing doesn’t always fly in real life. I really wanted him to lose, I wanted her to conquer this in a way that’ll ultimately...Read full review »

Very informative and enlightening as to just how predator’s seek out young and mostly unsuspecting/vulnerable girls . I think this scenario is still very prevalent today..I will be having this conversation with my own daughters...Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work/storytelling..

Listened to the most recent release because of an acquaintance I knew telling a story and then started from the first episode. I had to continue listening. Great work, please keep it going.

I really enjoyed the stories and approach to them on this podcast; the absence of any legalese has to be deliberate to allow the story teller be more open.

I’m someone who listens to podcasts on a daily basis, and this is such a breath of fresh air from the podcasts I have on heavy rotation. The stories told are real and provide such a different perspective from what you might think of in your day-to-day.

One episode in but but this pod is the G.O.A.T already. From someone who has a story to tell, this is one I feel will help a lot of people. Many folks (especially Nigerians at home or in the diaspora) go through or have gone through a lot and keep those experiences to themselves; but a platform...Read full review »

Ep1 and I’m hooked! I love the unobtrusive style of interviewing and the fact that they allow space for the stories to be the star of the show. That said, both hosts add excellent and insightful commentary. Temi is one to watch for!

The intro wasn’t overwhelming and that caught my attention. After listening to the first episode, I need this to continue. The emotions I went through while listening made me introspective and I know this story will stick for a long time. Daniel is a champ.

I love the storytelling concept of your podcast. Your work really helps me see...I guess you can call it the ‘humanity’ of everyone around us and you get to see how vivid other lives are outside of yours. I also was about to ask about your friend Daniel’s family but I think that would kind of get...Read full review »
