“Brilliant, interesting, inspiring, provocative, independent thought, out-of-the-box just the right amount, and entertaining enough without going into silliness.”

“Perfect mix of listening, asking great questions and letting the guests talk fully, all while subtly and tactfully adding his value. This guy is incredible wise and lively. Excellent podcast.”

“This is my favourite podcast, very interesting conversations. A lot of big picture idea thinking, but also some detail dives into careers and projects of guests on the shows. Jim’s philosophical mindset is one all can learn from.

“I like Jim’s format and empathetic interview style. He has had insightful and interesting guests - until Oct - Nov of this year. The latest guests have been just plain boring.”
“Love most of the content and excellent guests. Jim can be a little preachy sometimes but with zero doubt he only means well for the world at large and has a focus on objective truth.”

“Great guests and good talks. I don’t get why audio quality is poor. Looks like u recording from Skype or Zoom every time.
Sad in 2022 with such quality mics.”

“I’ve tried. I really have. The guests are top notch. However Jim dominates the conversation by asking 5 minute questions with multiple tangents then getting a brief response and launching into “how he thinks about it”. The recent one with 10K sounds like he’s drunk.”

“This pod was on a recommended list of PODS to listen to. Let’s just say I’m glad I stumbled onto it. Host is excellent at letting guest speak and brining up a range of topics.
Never would of heard about Synthesis School or the SurgiFi if not for this POD”

“I really respect Jim for being an open-minded guy in our field of investment management where sometimes new ideas are shunned. I have learned so much from this podcast! Highly recommend.”

“Jim is a smart man but I think he can learn from his son, Patrick, in the way that Patrick curates episodes and lets his guests set tempo in each episode. Additionally, Jim should make a larger effort to bring Jamie into the episodes earlier. I can recall historical episodes where Jamie randomly...”Read full review »

“Jim has incredible knowledge and a way of communicating it.He inspired me to become a financial adviser and helped me to become a moderately successful, slightly less desperate adviser.
I’m sure if I keep following him I will be able to report better results. He is genuinely worth following”
