Worth a Once-a-Week Listen
The Good: -Ricky covers a lot of current events happening at the Magic Kingdom and the "News from around the World" bit is good as it is a quick hit of Disney World info. -His cohost Skipper Ben is a lot of fun to listen to. -The quality has gotten better and better with ever episode. -A review of feedback/questions from email and phone messages is a nice touch. The Not Good: -The Figment section is boring, hard to understand/hear and not really a good portion of the show. -The recent requests for money for the show. Stick to adverts. I don't mind a couple of 15 to 30 second promos per show, but all the time spent on requests for donations is a bit lame. -My opinion only, but the ride throughs are somewhat boring. -Most of the news is Disney World related, which is fine, but more Disney corporate news (more than just park news) would be good. -The format seems to have become pretty consistent as of late, but there are still some inconsistencies. I really like this podcast but there are a few things that can be changed. Figment's segment could be cleaned up a little bit. I like that you mention VMK because I play it but I want to hear it. Great podcast. I have been listening since show one and the shows just keep getting better. Ricky does a great job in keeping Disney fans up to date and Skipper Ben's segments are great as well. Any Disney fan's should subscribe to this podcast.
