“I'm not a huge wrestling fan, but I wholeheartedly recommend this podcast. The interviews are invariably excellent and entertaining and are the main reason I listen. The hosts, Kenny and Robert manage to entice the great and not-so-great from the world of wrestling on to the show and manage, with a relaxed, informal and conversational style to get these guys (and girls) to talk on all manner of (often controversial) topics.
Some topics have been covered in greate depth elsewhere but the hosts always seem to find a fresh angle to approach old subjects from.
The show as a whole is a must-listen for me each week, even though I might not be tuning into Wrestling on TV. The hosts cover old and new TV material, adding a nostalgic element for lapsed fans.
The tone of the show is great. The lads are clearly huge fans of the business, but they are smart enough to be cynicaly when it matters. Inside The Ropes is a crystal clear window into the shadowy, clandestine world of professional wrestling where real-life back-biting, titlle-tattle, gossip and treachery are as much part of life as bodyslams, suplexes and over-the-top personas.”Read full review »
