Plenty of intelligence, not much imagination
I like the debate format, but there is a complete lack of diversity in the panelists and genuine insights or different points of view are rare. Panelists are almost all pro-establishment, centrist, internationalist, pro-corporate journalists and politicians. The range of views stretches from centre left to conservative, with virtually nothing either side. Most panelists are too busy engaging in self-congratulatory discourse on their own ‘bravery’ in championing women and minorities to recognize the true diversity of opinion that exists outside of their own elite bubble, and at the same time completely forgetting that they have consistently taken the ‘safe’ path for the sake of their careers. The fact that their ‘media partner’ (whatever that is) is the New York Times should tell you all you need to know. Despite these criticisms, however, I still give the podcast three stars because, as mentioned, I like the debate format, and while rare, some speakers do occasionally present interesting points of view.

I feel at times the host push there own agenda on the audience. When they do interviews they give the presenter soft ball questions and do not challenge the positions. They should take an example from the US version.

I wish she could to speak to the real hero’s and heroines that broke the barriers in the...Read full review »
