“Just another dose of fast-food rationalization that spends more time attacking science and proclaiming vicimization than actually presenting anything factual... I dislike "skeptic" podcasts for the same reason. If what you have to say is true, it would stand on it's own without having to draw lines in the sand and convince you that the other side is "bad" by painting pictures of ugly adversaries "opressing" the "good". SCIENCE AND RELIGION DO NOT NEED TO BE AT ODDS, but trying to force religion into science is not the way to approach it. There are actual scientists and philosophers out there that can do a beautiful job of illustrating a beautiful dance between religion and science that does not put them at odds against eachother, but this show doesn't come close to that. The worst that could come of the discovery institute's push for acceptance of ID is for children to be as confused as if you tried to mix english lessons in math class. The existance of an intelligent creator belongs to the domain of religion, and can't be approached with scientific study. I applaud those that find ways to reconcile science and religion in a way that one can be passionate about both as one, but that's philosophy. While we may need philosophy (of some sort) on both ends (before and after life) to fill in the gaps and really apperciate the whole of our existance, we shouldn't confuse it for hard science. Nor should we try to assert that just because science can't explain everything that it's somehow any less valid. Science is about the journey of discovering, and never pretends to be the one and only authority of everything. Although many scientists are athiests, science alone simply has nothing to say on the matter. Just as science and art are inextricably connected, neither scientist nor artist has the audacity to claim greater knowledge in the other's field, but both can appreciate the interconnection between the two to come to a greater understanding that wouldn't be possible if they went about it the same way the discovery institute does with religion. If you don't think spirituality plays into both of those, then you don't understand any of them. If you want a show that will use strongly emotive language to reinforce your belief, then subscribe now, but if you want something that will truely give logical perspective then you will need to look elsewhere. - - Who would you listen to in a debate: the person slinging mud and trying to convince you that the other person is bad, or the one addressing the point at hand, and when asked about his opponent simply states that he has no opinion because he doesn't know the person? Don't confuse a few avid athiests among an inherently agnostic institution, just as one shouldn't confuse the discovery institute with the whole of spirituality, but the discovery institute takes this stance again and again, and those with a genuine interest would do well to find better ways to approach the subject - one which keeps the spirit of their religion and doesn't try to speak of logic with heightened emotions.”Read full review »

“How did this podcast sneak into the science section? Intelligent Design has the same relationship to biology as Astrology has to Astronomy. Please move it to the religion category.”
“This "institute" uses psuedo-science, false information and logical fallacies to further there creationist agenda. For REAL science listen to Evolution 101 or Skeptics Guide to the Universe.”Read full review »

“I cannot comprehend why this rubbish is under the science category. I don't see any ufology or astrology under science so this creationism-by-stealth doesn't belong here either.”Read full review »
