It is now pretty well understood by most people that intelligent design is a thinly-veiled rehash of creationism, an alternative rhetorical strategy that aims to make the same unscientific hogwash more palatable in the sphere of education. Happily and unsurprisingly, though, it has turned out that those responsible for administering education tend to be too rational to fall for this. Or, in a couple of isolated instances where bad apples have weaseled their way into running schools, and this non-question has actually fallen to adjudication, well, to quote the judge in Pennsylvania who found himself having to deal with this, intelligent design was found to be a "breathtaking inanity" that those with a feeble grasp of logic attempt to perpetrate on the minds of the young. I love this podcast. it gives, i feel, the most accurate view on the current debate between evolution and ID. I've tried listening to evloution podcasts about this, and i can't stand it.
